About HCC (High Coordinating Committee)

The High Coordinating Committee (HCC) was established by decision 50 of the year 2012, and has been restructured pursuant to decision 14 of the year 2014 to be chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The HCC includes a member of each of the following ministries:

Representative from the Ministry of Education

Representative from the Supreme Council for Women

Representative from the National Security Agency

Representative from the Public Prosecution

Representative from the Information Affairs Authority

Representative from the Civil Service Bureau
The HCC functions as an intergovernmental coordinating mechanism tasked with, inter alia, the preparation of the Human Rights National Plan of Action, the drafting of Bahrain’s reports to relevant United Nations bodies, and cooperation with international human rights stakeholders.
